This 2 in 1 portable UV light / watermark light counterfeit detector has been designed to detect the authenticity of bills, credit cards, traveler's checks, and other special documents. Real bills under ultraviolet rays usually absorb the UV light. Also, genuine bills as well as credit cards, traveler's checks and other special documents will show special marks made with fluorescent ink which will identify its authenticity. In the case of the new 100 US Dollar (1996 Series and later), the security thread next to the Federal Reserve Bank Seal will glow and will turn orange when you place the UV light on top of the bill. The 2 in 1 also features a watermark detector torch light that shows the watermark on genuine bills, and which doubles as a flashlight.
